About Reverend Dr. Mark Taylor,
Senior Pastor, Hillside Church
Rev. Dr. Taylor
and his wife, Dianne, come to us from down state, IL, where
Mark was instrumental in church planting. Pastor Taylor has
led both large and small congregations over a period of more
than 24 years. During much of that time he was a “Revitalization
Pastor,” the duties of which were to support churches
with specific needs, such as financial or church-split situations,
and would move them forward to reorganize, unify, and train
people in leadership responsibility.
His role as senior pastor at Hillside is one that is a good
fit for him after many years of not having a 'home' church.
He and Dianne have become leaders in the church as well as the
local community.
Pastor Taylor has served as the Principal and Administrator
of a Christian school for two years and as Dean of Central Illinois
Bible College. He also served as the Director of Counseling
at New Life Tabernacle.
He has strong experience in counseling, as he was a Family Therapist
at Heritage Behavioral Health in Decatur, IL for two years and
for the past eleven years he has operated New Life Family Services
(a division of pastoral ministry). He has both a Doctor’s
and Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology.
Pastor Mark and Dianne have four children and three grandchildren.
