During the
year that our food pantry has been serving others, close
to 1,700
families
are being served each month! Praise God for His blessing and
continuted provision for this much-needed ministry. Since May
2, 2009, we have served a total of 18,829 households and
64,584 total people!
We
do need volunteers! The
food pantry requires at least 16 volunteers during
Wednesday distribution to make sure everything runs
smoothly. On Saturday we need closer to 20 volunteers
to help during distribution. Volunteers are always
needed in distribution, check-in, parking detail and
food rescue (picking up and helping put the food away
once it arrives at the pantry). Opportunities to serve
are available every day. Depending on the day we need
help in the morning, mid-day, or during distribution
in the afternoon. It is a blessing and very rewarding
to be a helping hand in this ministry. Please
prayerfully consider if you are able to help.
If you are able to spare some time, whether once a week, a
couple times a month or even once a month, or
if you are already volunteering and need to make an adjustment
to when you are scheduled, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Susan
Gottlieb.
